CT-11B-Study of Electronic LC Gate Telephone System S an improved version of LC Gate communication system based on RDSO specification no. RDSO/SPN/TC/51/2011 (Rev 3.0). It works on master and slave configuration using an OMNIBUS speech line. Master telephone is provided at SM's office and slaves are at LC gates. Master telephone can selectively call any slave telephone of LC Gates. Each slave telephone can call master but cannot call other slave telephones. A slave can talk to another slave only with master's cooperation. This arrangement maintains secrecy and thus avoids confusion in communication between SM and a Gateman which was existing in earlier conventional systems of LC gate communication . This unit is having recording of all events chronologically. Hence, this system improves safety of train operations. The system consists of the following units: 1. Master Telephone 2. Slave Telephones (6Nos) 3. Dual Power Supply Unit (12V for Master & 24V for Slaves) 4. Surge Protection and Line connection Units (Rosette box)

Master Telephone Master telephone operating voltage is 1 2VDC • It can be connected to maximum six slave telephones using one pair of a quad. - Speech and 24V DC power supply to slave telephones are extended on this pair from the nearest station. . DTMF selective calling is used for calling individual slave telephones ◦ Facility also exists to call all slaves at once for conferencing by the master.
